Website Care

Monthly website maintenance plan For small businesses and contractor sites.

A clear monthly plan keeps routine website work from becoming an afterthought. The exact checks and update method are documented for the website, platform, host, and forms being supported.

A defined support rhythm

What is a monthly website maintenance plan?

It is an agreed set of recurring checks, updates, edits, and communication for a supported website. The plan defines what is reviewed each month, how ordinary requests are handled, and when new work needs a separate quote.

Unplanned upkeep

Small website needs can accumulate without a clear owner.

  • Updates wait until something breaks
  • Form delivery is assumed rather than checked
  • Account ownership and backups are unclear
  • Every content request starts a new search for help

Website Care

A written plan makes routine support predictable.

  • The supported platform and responsibilities are documented
  • Relevant updates and public availability are checked
  • Routine content edits have a clear request path
  • The client receives a concise monthly status summary

Monthly scope

What does the Website Care plan include each month?

The work is adapted to the supported site. A static Cloudflare website, a managed builder, and a plugin-based CMS do not require identical maintenance.

Hosting coordination

Help with routine hosting, domain, SSL, access, and provider questions while important accounts remain in the client's ownership.

Applicable software updates

Review and install relevant platform or dependency updates when the website requires them, with a practical check after the change.

Backup and recovery preparation

Confirm the backup or source-copy method used for the website and preserve a recoverable version before meaningful changes.

Uptime and form-delivery checks

Check that the public website remains reachable and periodically verify that its important inquiry path still delivers as expected.

Routine content edits

Update existing text, business details, links, or supplied photos without adding a new page, layout, form, feature, or workflow.

Monthly status communication

Receive a concise summary of checks, updates, completed requests, and any issue or decision that needs attention.

What monthly means

How does recurring website maintenance work in practice?

Review

Check the supported website and current requests.

Review alerts, public availability, the agreed form path, pending content, and platform-specific maintenance needs.

Maintain

Complete applicable updates and routine edits.

Work within the written plan, preserve a recoverable version before meaningful changes, and keep the site consistent.

Verify

Check the important public paths after changes.

Confirm the website loads, edited pages remain usable, and agreed inquiry or notification behavior still works.

Report

Send a concise status summary.

Document completed work and identify any provider issue, larger request, or client decision that needs follow-up.

A practical fit

Who is this monthly website maintenance plan built for?

Website Care is intended for a compatible small-business or contractor site with a defined owner, manageable technical setup, and routine support needs.

A newly launched Plainview Web website

The business wants ongoing support after the initial correction period.

Continuity for the site, accounts, and quote-request path.

A compatible existing business website

The site is stable but routine changes and checks lack a dependable process.

A documented support scope after a technical review.

A contractor with seasonal information

Services, coverage, hours, or project photos need occasional updates.

Routine edits without turning each change into a redesign.

Starting at $99 per month

How does website maintenance pricing work?

The starting plan is billed monthly in advance for the agreed supported website and routine scope. Compatibility, provider access, backup method, monitoring, response expectations, and any outside costs are confirmed before service begins.

Clear boundaries

What falls outside the monthly Website Care plan?

Maintenance preserves and updates the supported website within its existing structure. It does not silently expand into a redesign, a new application, a marketing campaign, or an emergency-response agreement.

New structure or functionality

New pages, sections, forms, workflows, integrations, and substantial layout changes need their own scope.

Provider guarantees

Coordination and troubleshooting are included as agreed, but third-party uptime and restoration times cannot be guaranteed.

Managed security or emergencies

Continuous threat monitoring, malware cleanup, incident response, and after-hours availability require specialized or separately scoped support.

Marketing performance

SEO strategy, ongoing content, advertising, rankings, inquiries, and business results are not part of the basic status summary.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions about monthly website maintenance.

Can you maintain a website you did not build?

Often, but the website, host, platform, plugins or dependencies, forms, and account access must be reviewed first. Plainview Web will confirm whether the site can be supported responsibly before offering the monthly plan.

What counts as a routine content edit?

A routine edit changes existing material, such as business hours, contact details, service text, a link, or a small group of supplied photos. New pages, sections, layouts, forms, integrations, and substantial rewrites are quoted separately.

How quickly are routine requests handled?

Routine Website Care requests are acknowledged within one business day and normally completed within five business days after complete materials are received. Larger or urgent work needs a separate schedule and scope.

Does the plan include backups for every website platform?

The backup method depends on how the website is built and hosted. The supported method and retention available through the host, source repository, or another agreed system are documented before service begins.

Does Website Care include security monitoring?

The plan can include applicable software updates, review of relevant platform notices, and routine checks within the supported website environment. It is not a managed cybersecurity, malware-removal, or around-the-clock incident-response service.

What happens if the hosting provider has an outage?

Plainview Web can help confirm the source of the problem, coordinate with the provider, and keep the client informed. A third-party provider's uptime or restoration time cannot be guaranteed by the care plan.

Are domain, hosting, and paid-software fees included?

Those provider charges are normally paid directly by the client so the accounts remain in the client's ownership. The care plan covers the agreed coordination and maintenance work rather than the provider's fees.

Does the monthly plan include ongoing SEO?

No. The status summary can identify obvious technical or content issues, but keyword research, ongoing content, link building, advertising, and performance campaigns require a separate service and scope.
