Common metadata—not every proprietary payload
The cleaner targets supported standard metadata containers. Unknown, proprietary, or newly introduced data can remain. This is a practical cleanup tool, not a forensic privacy certification.
Color information is intentionally kept
ICC profiles and rendering-critical container data are preserved for color fidelity. Keeping them avoids an unexpected appearance change, but it also means the tool does not promise to remove every non-pixel byte.
Orientation must be made physical first
Some cameras store the intended rotation in EXIF instead of rotating the encoded pixels. If removing that instruction could turn the picture, cleanup is blocked. Normalize the image with the Image Compressor & Resizer, then return here to inspect the exported file.
Cleanup is not anonymity
A filename, visible scene, account, website, messaging service, or later editor can identify you or add metadata again. Recheck the final file you actually plan to publish or share.
