Include the complete URLs you want in one site’s sitemap. Add lastmod through CSV only when you know when each page significantly changed.

List the pages you want discovered.
Use the complete, preferred URL for each page. The builder creates a standard URL sitemap for one origin and leaves dates out unless you supply them. Last modified should reflect a significant page change, not the day you generate this file. Google ignores priority and change frequency, so the builder omits them.
The inspector checks the sitemap namespace, core entries, URL spelling, duplicates and date values. It recognizes URL sitemaps and sitemap indexes. Image, video, news and language extensions are reported as uninspected; the inspector does not rewrite your XML or load linked files.
This tool handles up to 2,000 entries and 2 MB of uncompressed UTF-8 text. The sitemap protocol allows up to 50,000 entries and 50 MB per file. The builder uses a conservative limit of 2,047 characters per URL. Dates use YYYY-MM-DD, optionally with a timezone, or a timestamp including seconds and an explicit timezone.
Upload the finished sitemap through your website’s hosting or CMS, then submit its location in your search console. Sitemap inclusion does not guarantee crawling or indexing. Mixed hosts and directory-scope warnings require review against your hosting and ownership setup.
Inputs stay in this browser tab and are not stored by this tool. It makes no requests to listed URLs. XML and CSV can be copied or downloaded; CSV uses spreadsheet-safe escaping. The inspector reports common issues, not full validation of every sitemap extension.
