A closer look
Give each timeline a complete viewing path.
A franchise can have sequels, remakes and different continuities. A single release-order list shows when films came out, but does not necessarily explain which stories belong together.
The implemented choice
The Halloween guide presents four separate continuity paths and a standalone entry. Shared films appear within each relevant path, with links back to their archive entries. Visitors can follow a complete sequence without piecing it together from other sections.
The tradeoff
Repeating a film makes the guide longer, but keeps each path readable on its own. A compact release-order index is another useful format when the question is publication order; it answers a different question from choosing a continuity. The live Halloween guide explains the shared entries alongside the paths.
