Use the full http:// or https:// address, including any campaign tags. The link is not opened or shortened. Up to 1,200 UTF-8 bytes.
Higher levels add recovery data and can make the pattern denser. M is a useful starting point.
Each setting keeps the pattern sharp. The generated image’s pixel dimensions appear in the preview.

Before you print

Give every scan a clear destination.

Use the final address you want someone to open. Add campaign tags first with the UTM Campaign Link Builder if you need to identify visits from printed material in your own analytics.

Keep the white border around all four sides. Avoid stretching, cropping, covering the pattern with a logo or placing it over a busy background. Shorter content produces a simpler code. Test the downloaded image with a phone at its intended display or print size.

These are static QR codes: the saved image contains the supplied content directly. Editing that content requires a new code. A website link will continue to work only while its destination is available; this tool does not test the destination or provide scan tracking.

Generation happens in this browser tab. Inputs are not uploaded or saved by the tool, and anyone with the image can read its encoded content. This version supports website URLs and plain text, up to 1,200 UTF-8 bytes. Unicode characters may use several bytes each.
